Biostimulators are fundamentally different from fillers. Where a filler adds volume by injecting a gel beneath the skin, a biostimulator triggers your body to produce its own collagen — rebuilding facial structure from within, gradually, over weeks and months.

Sculptra’s active ingredient — poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) — is biocompatible and biodegradable. Once injected, it integrates with your tissue and signals your body to produce new collagen at the treatment site. The PLLA is gradually absorbed, but the collagen it stimulated remains. Assessment

Layanna maps your facial or body structure, identifies areas of volume loss or fat accumulation, and recommends the right biostimulator protocol — including honest guidance on what Sculptra can and can’t do.

Treatment

Sculptra and Radiesse are injected in a grid pattern across treatment areas. PRP/PRF is applied to the skin or injected. Fat dissolvers are placed into targeted fat deposits. Numbing applied beforehand. 45–90 minutes depending on scope.

Massage

For Sculptra: you’ll massage the treated area 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days (the “5-5-5 rule”). This distributes the product evenly and prevents nodule formation.

Results Build

Sculptra and Radiesse collagen builds over 4–12 weeks. PRP/PRF improvements develop over 4–8 weeks. Fat dissolvers take 4–8 weeks as your body metabolizes eliminated cells. Full Sculptra/Radiesse results typically require 2–3 sessions.

Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable containing deoxycholic acid, which permanently destroys fat cells beneath the chin. Once those cells are eliminated, they can never store fat again. The body naturally metabolizes the destroyed cells over 4–8 weeks. Typically 2–4 sessions are needed, each spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Results are permanent as long as you maintain a stable weight.

No — and that’s by design. You may notice initial fullness from the injection volume, but this subsides within days as the water is absorbed. The real results develop gradually over 4–12 weeks as collagen production increases. This gradual timeline is what makes Sculptra results look completely natural — people notice you look great, not that you’ve had something done.
Yes. Sculptra improves skin texture, firmness, and the appearance of fine lines on the neck by stimulating collagen production. The neck is a delicate area requiring experienced technique and should only be performed by a skilled injector.
Yes. Sculptra can reduce the appearance of jowls by restoring volume and stimulating collagen in the cheeks and jawline area. This added structural support helps lift and tighten sagging skin, improving facial contours over time. For significant jowling, Layanna may recommend combining Sculptra with Kybella (to dissolve excess fat) and/or neurotoxins.
Both permanently destroy fat cells. Kybella is FDA-approved specifically for submental (under-chin) fat and has the strongest clinical evidence. PC-DC (phosphatidylcholine-deoxycholate) is a similar fat-dissolving injectable that can be used in a wider range of small areas. Kybella is $600/vial. PC-DC is $550 per session.
